Short description

TAP IT! is a reflex party game for Android that you play by ear. An announcer calls a command and you obey it before the timer ring runs out: tap it, swipe it, shake it, tilt it, bowl it, launch it, drive it, and even shout BEEP or QUACK out loud, heard by speech recognition that runs entirely on the phone. One mistake ends the run, and the pace keeps climbing. Play solo, take on the worldwide DAILY RUN, or pass the phone around at a party. TAP IT! is free on Google Play, with no ads.

Long description

TAP IT! is a fast, loud reflex party game for Android phones. An announcer barks a command, and you have until the timer ring runs out to obey. Fifteen commands use the whole phone: tap, swipe, shake, turn, flip, slide, stretch, shrink, bowl, tilt, launch a rocket at a piñata, steer between traffic cones, freeze completely still, and the two that turn heads in public, BEEP IT and QUACK IT, which you have to say out loud. Speech recognition runs entirely on the phone, so the voice commands work offline and no audio is ever recorded or sent.

It starts easy. It doesn't stay easy. One mistake ends the run, the pace keeps climbing, and if you survive long enough the words on screen start contradicting the announcer. Trust your ears.

Every day, the DAILY RUN gives every player in the world the same sequence of commands, with its own leaderboard, a twist most weeks and a streak to keep alive. Global leaderboards, a per-command breakdown of every run, 25 badges and unlockable themes give solo players plenty to chase.

Four announcers change the voice and the props. CLASSIC and ROBO ARCADE are free. GRONTHOR, a barbarian who bellows every command and hates dragons, and COUNT TAPULA, a very enthusiastic vampire invented and voiced by the developer's daughter, cost $1.99 each. The Count brings THUMP IT!, the first command in the game that belongs to a single announcer.

For parties, the one-time Multiplayer Pack ($4.99) adds 2P RALLY pass-and-play, split-screen VERSUS on one device, and ONLINE VERSUS for up to eight players with lobby codes and QR invites.

TAP IT! is free to download, has no ads, and is made by Gronthor Games, an independent studio in the USA. It launched on Google Play in September 2026.

A dad, his daughter and a vampire

TAP IT! is made by Gronthor Games, a small independent studio in the USA. While the game was taking shape, the developer's daughter invented a character of her own: COUNT TAPULA, a theatrical, very enthusiastic vampire who rolls his Rs, calls the player “mortal” and is deeply offended by garlic, ducks and sunlight. When it came to his voice, she insisted on doing it herself, and she recorded every one of his lines.

The Count arrived with a world of his own: bats and coffins to tap, a hearse to drive between the tombstones, and THUMP IT!, a heartbeat command you hit on the beat. It became the first command in the game that belongs to a single announcer. COUNT TAPULA is available in TAP IT! as a $1.99 announcer pack.
